Who's who

Raymond Stemp FRTPI

Ray is a chartered Town Planner and a Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Formerly, he was a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in the Planning & Development Faculty and a past chairman of this division. After beginning his career as a planner in local government, Ray was appointed as the Head of Planning Services at Basildon District Council where he remained for 15 years. In 1988 Ray set up his own private town and country planning consultancy offering a wide range of services to the public including, what has now become one of his specialties, planning appeals. Since then, the company has grown significantly from its origins at Burnham on Crouch.

Ray has achieved over 40 successful years as a town planner in both local government and private practice.

Sheila Stemp

Sheila has been a member of the company since it was first established in 1988. She carries out proof reading and some administrative work.

Julie Lawless - Office Manager

Julie manages the day to day running of our business, she has over 30 years experience in an admin/ accounts role. Her knowledge ensures the smooth running of our office. She liaises with our clients on a day to day basis and keeps track of our workflow. Outside of RSA she is a keen archer and hiker.

Freelance Consultants

Nigel Valentine - Freelance Designer

Nigel has over 30 years of experience in the planning & design industry and works with us on a number of our key projects. He produces hand drawn schemes to provide a personal touch. Nigel also deals with the technical aspect of Building Regulations on our behalf. He is a family man and enjoys a spot of golf

Grant Myddleton - Freelance Cad Technician

Grant is one of our freelance CAD technicians and the newest member to help out the RSA branch.

He deals some of our extensions to residential dwellings and small scale housing projects. Grant is a keen sportsman with a number of hobbies.
